If you didn't make it out to the gallery for the opening - be sure to come in before months end. What a fabulous group show of talented artists.
For the month of June, Terrace Art Gallery hosts a group exhibition of 25 artists. There is a variety of work for sale: photography, painting, drawing, sculputre, stained glass, wood intarsia, embroidery, quilting ... all definitely worth a look.
Gallery hours: W/TH/FR 12-4pm SAT 10am-4pm SUN 1-4pm
Getting ready - cleaning house, painting (the shop??), planting a garden... oh yes - preparing a STUDIO! Hah. I do hope you can come out this weekend. My studio will be open Saturday May 19th / Sunday May 20th / Monday May 21st 10am-4pm.
Having a date to work towards always helps bring ideas to fruition. I enjoyed making these little PIN / BADGE packages with friends this evening. Enjoy!
Whepfh. Just in the nick of time. Here is an exciting box of art supplies for Sunday. $95.00 to participate - all supplies are included in the fee. Additional items available to those interested...
The kids were finger-painting this morning... and for what little quiet time they had this afternoon I began re-working a 36x54" canvas (former Billie Morris). Also, got the staples out of (former) - Awakening which I hope to re-stretch the bottom half onto a 60x20" and top-half fragments onto some smaller frames. It sure isn't easy ordering stretcher bars to the north any longer...
Thanks for your help today Mr.Simon-cat!
Plans for the Garden show... since a June 2012 opening will not allow me to paint directly from my garden as I prefer to do on flower paintings... I am in need of a "garden" to work from. I am using my Monday evenings wisely at the Terrace Art Club creating sketches to paint from.
A mother of two, a small animal tender, a hobby-gardener, and an artist.
