Plans for the Garden show... since a June 2012 opening will not allow me to paint directly from my garden as I prefer to do on flower paintings... I am in need of a "garden" to work from. I am using my Monday evenings wisely at the Terrace Art Club creating sketches to paint from.

Trucks are fun. We brought the new-to-us truck with the kids for a drive along the Copper River Sunday morning. Stunning.
Today we walked the yard... looking for signs of Spring. We found cherry buds, raspberry canes, and a healthy looking apple tree. We searched the ground around the birch trees where we planted tulip and crocus bulbs last fall. We took beautiful photos of the frosted blackberry vines and tidied up around the yard. The sun is out by 8am now and shines bright in the afternoon. Soon it will be time to play in the mud and enjoy the garden once again.
I have been enjoying the fresh air, glistening snow, and rushing river - trains passing, kids playing, sun shining. Just lovely.
12 people signed up. It will be an energetic-creative-inspiring day. Here are some of the preliminary workshop canvases that I will be sharing with those signed up...
