Well... we missed out on Kispiox music festival for yet another year... but did accomplish our goals of working hard around the house and yard this past weekend. The afternoons remain quiet into this week (with two kids having at least some cross-over on naps) so I have been picking away at Studio and Housework tasks. The wallpapering in the studio is nearly complete (there is about two thumb-size holes to fill)... and I have been enjoying the moments I have to prepare artwork - frames, hanging wires, etc. for the September showing at Cafenara. I am really enjoying this 60x36" piece...

Well... from bugs to rainy rainy days. The weather continues to keep us indoors. We do spend some muddy hours in the garden - stomping in puddles and pulling weeds. The evenings sure do allow for me to paint though... here is what I am currently working on... (first photo: view from the front yard - too bad the mist doesn't show better, it is beautiful. second photo: the studio takeover! 60x36" in progress. third photo: 36x24" in progress)
Sunny days aren't plentiful, but the black flies are! ...the outdoor bugs are keeping us inside these days... which is great for tackling renovations. I have been wall-papering the studio... need to prime some walls and paint.
Puppy is now named. Talisker. Only whiskey distillery on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. He is growing fast!
