Time for another Saturday workshop, which I so much enjoy. It looks as though it may be a small class this time around... if you are thinking of joining us - please do! 22nd October 10am-4pm at the Terrace Art Gallery. Cost $75.00, includes all supplies. (and you think it's babies and toddlers that make creating paintings difficult... hah - try cats and puppy dogs!
I just love gardening with a toddler... to have the excuse for multi-coloured carrots. What a fun surprise as we pull-up the greens. Here are a few photos of what we found for supper this evening. Enjoy!
Newly erected totem pole, fresh mushrooms, lots of sun-catching spider-webs, a rushing river, slender cedar trees, twisting hemlocks, and a lovely walk with mom and my baby girl. Who could ask for anything more? It was a beautiful walk along the Kitselas Canyon trail this morning. <http://www.kitselas.com/>
Oh September. potatoes, overalls, rain boots, fresh fall air, carrots, beets, fruit, and preserving - here we go...
I am pleased to have completed the Cafenara Coffee House installation... check it out if you are in the Terrace area.
Here are a couple photos from today ... and into the evening. Way to go Terrace with an enjoyable evening market downtown tonight! well... this month has escaped me. In a wonderful way - a time-warp back to Ontario with great family and re-connections with fabulous friends. I truly had a wonderful time.
And now... back to reality! A quilt to finish and a studio / house full of paintings to have complete for the Cafenara exhibition installation this week! All is going well... I love the quilt and am so happy with the binding. I do wish oil paint could dry a little faster on these paintings on linen though. Hmmm. (setting up the fan now). Well... we missed out on Kispiox music festival for yet another year... but did accomplish our goals of working hard around the house and yard this past weekend. The afternoons remain quiet into this week (with two kids having at least some cross-over on naps) so I have been picking away at Studio and Housework tasks. The wallpapering in the studio is nearly complete (there is about two thumb-size holes to fill)... and I have been enjoying the moments I have to prepare artwork - frames, hanging wires, etc. for the September showing at Cafenara. I am really enjoying this 60x36" piece...
